Christen Hunt, DNP, FNP-C, CPNP-AC

Christen is Senior Vice President at Kaufman Hall, where she leverages her extensive 25-year background in healthcare spanning clinical, advisory and administrative roles. At Kaufman Hall, she specializes in clinical consulting, directing efforts toward the structural organization of advanced practice providers. Her focus is on maximizing the scope of practice across all clinician levels, enhancing ambulatory operations and achieving superior patient outcomes in alignment with financial objectives.

Before her tenure at Kaufman Hall, Christen was part of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital team. She held a managerial position for advanced practice providers in the Department of Pediatric Medicine and had a joint appointment with the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Her responsibilities encompassed administrative oversight and maintaining a clinical practice in the pediatric intensive care unit. Her administrative tasks included managing professional development, onboarding and engagement of advanced practice providers, ensuring optimal scope of practice.

A recognized leader in healthcare, Christen is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a published author. She contributes her expertise on workforce trends that influence the future of the healthcare workforce.

Christen earned a doctor of nursing practice and a master of science in primary care nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also holds a post-master's certification as a pediatric acute care nurse practitioner from the University of Kentucky and dual certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
