Blaine Douglas, SVP/GM

Blaine Douglas brings more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. His areas of expertise and professional skills include healthcare operations, principally focused on operational efficiencies and expense control. Douglas leads the non-clinical consulting practice at Vizient, which includes the purchased services, supply chain, construction and facilities, and capital and equipment planning consulting service areas. Prior to joining Vizient, he spent 18 years in health system operations including as a health system COO and as CEO of a level I trauma center. He received his doctorate degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He also is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and holds the Fellow designation (FACHE).
