Innovative Technology Program

Through the Innovative Technology Program, Vizient works with members and suppliers to identify new solutions that can improve clinical care and enhance the business model for health care organizations. The program creates visibility to innovative products for members and suppliers alike through an online forum, an annual interactive event, and contracting and marketing opportunities. Awareness of a broader array of products and services enables hospitals to provide the highest quality care while encouraging manufacturers to continue to pioneer new solutions.

Online forum

The online Innovative Technology Forum provides a public avenue for hospitals to learn about new and innovative ways to solve the challenges they face – whether in providing direct patient care or improving their overall business model. Accessible to all site visitors, our interactive website presents general product and service information provided by suppliers*, grouped by service line area.

The forum offers manufacturers an opportunity to increase awareness of their offerings by submitting product information. Accepted submissions appear on the forum for six months. Information about additional opportunities, including pursuing a Vizient contract award, is provided during the forum submission process.

Innovative Technology in the Vizient contract portfolio

In order to help our members access the latest technology, Vizient continually adds innovative products to our catalog. Some are available through nonbid agreements negotiated via the Innovative Technology review process, while others are on competitively awarded contracts and have received our Innovative Technology designation at the SKU level. Vizient members can evaluate and choose the products that meet their needs as well as their institution’s contracting mandates.

Suppliers who wish to discuss contracting opportunities with Vizient must first submit product information to the Innovative Technology Forum as described above. More details about the additional steps in the contracting process are provided during the forum submission process.

Innovative Technology Exchange

The 2024 Innovative Technology Exchange (Exchange) will take place Wednesday, September 18, at the Wynn and Encore Las Vegas during the Vizient Connections Summit.

Healthcare providers will get the chance to explore exhibit booths, connect with exhibitors and gather information on the latest technologies and innovative products at this dynamic, fast-paced, hands-on event.

Vizient’s annual Innovative Technology Exchange brings selected supplier and healthcare innovators together while offering an exclusive opportunity for deep conversations and powerful connections. This event is focused on the latest innovative products and services addressing crucial needs and lifesaving technologies.
